If I have a DSO which I want to use for reporting, what would be the best way to go .. and why?
Virtual Layer -
A. Creating a Multiprovider on top
B. Creating a Composite Provider on top.
I read in one of the SAP presentations that Multiprovider is still better since the OLAP engine prepares better execution plans. But do let me know your views on this.
Semantic Layer -
A. Create a Bex Super query and connect the Webi/Other tools to this.
B. Export the DSO to HANA studio and build an IDT universe as a semantic layer.
Lets consider that in this case, I have no intention of joining this DSO with any other HANA models. Is it still good to skip the Bex route and export it to HANA and take it from there? I've seen people go that route.
Please give me your opinions on the above with a logical reasoning as to why you would choose one over the other.
