Did u manage to figure out the solution & cause which was blocking the UI rendering in Chrome browser when Simulate the demo apps ?

infact, i just found that if below URL [with your appbuilder server running] -

http://127.0.0.1:9009/ide/hermes/filesystem/root/guest/AnalyticSample/src/index.html?designtime

Then you may get the expected result.

However, if u want to run this app at Android, make sure you have installed apache Cordova along with Node.js
